Ania didn't have a passport when she was young in Communist Poland. Every time she and her family wanted to travel they needed to queue for hours to get a visa, fill in a tonne of application forms, and bring goodies for the fat ladies in the various official offices.

When Ania was seventeen she received a beautiful book – "The Wanders of The Civilization". It described the 100 most beautiful places in the world. She decided to visit them all against the odds.

From the moment that she finally got her passport when the Polish were less restricted to travel she started to travel and never stopped – that's how it is today.

She has visited 50+ countries, she lived or worked extensively in 16 of them.

She usually 'goes local' to yet again question herself, her own culture, to learn and to appreciate the differences.
